Just wondering if the Area 58 gives a slightly thicker tone than the Area 67? I have the Area 67 and I think it's great but an considering acquiring the Area 58.

I'm just assuming it gives a bit thicker tone.

I would be using it in the neck.

Its a different EQ, but I wouldn't say its much thicker. It has more bass I guess. The 61 would be a thicker tone.

In the neck position it is not really a thicker tone but a different tone. I would describe it as "smoky" which the 67 definitely is not. If you want thicker than the 67 but not that much different I would agree to greenlion's suggestion of 61.

Still, the 67 is my favorite for the neck position. The 58 is my number one choice for the middle position.
