I have an ash guitar with a dp252, dp253 and an isv2. I was wondering what capacitor I should put on the tone knob?  The tone knob is also a push/pull to split the humbuckers in all positions.

Keep in mind that the cap only comes into play when the tone control is turned down. Otherwise it’s the resistance of the pot affecting the tone.

What type of tone do you want with the control turned down? If you want mud use a larger value like .047uF. If you just want to remove the top end while leaving the mids intact then use something like .01uF.

Also the hotter the pickups the greater the resonance in the circuit.

Just try some caps out. There’s no right or wrong formula.

An .0047 will give variations of a cocked wah tone.  Probably would be great for soloing textures

Grab a handful of different values and try them all out to see what works best for you and your rig.
