Hard time choosing between the titan and ionizer
« on: February 04, 2017, 10:35:35 PM »
My 7 string is a 25.5" scale basswood/maple/rosewood and tends to sound loose and boomy when i palm mute. I need a tight pup with medium-high output and a lot of upper mids.

The ionizer 7 specifically mentions being designed for non-baritone scales, but people are raving about how tight and versatile the titan is. I use the guitar for everything from blues/rock to prog metal.

Who has used both?

I've had both. Between the two, I think you'd be much happier with the Titan if you want a tighter tone when palm muting stuff.
