Question on these... I ordered 2 zebra (black/creme) pickups, 1 DP257 and 1 DP256.
I received the below.
As you can see one has the screw coil in black, the other has the screw coil in creme.
Are these supposed to be like this? Is the neck DP256 supposed to be installed in reverse (as JP did with the Air Norton back in the 90s)?

Traditionally speaking, the respective coil would be cream on both unless requested otherwise.

Did you order direct or from a dealer?  Either way, was it something in stock or a special order?

It's your money, so exchange it if it's not what you wanted.

It was a custom order from Thomann. I asked for zebra DP256 and zebra DP257F.
I received the above.
I was just curious - if that's supposed to be like that and if the DP256 is supposed to be reversely installed for the traditional double zebra look or if the German distributor somehow did a small error in choosing the right zebras.
They offered to exchange it - but I was still curious
