Norton vs Breed neck
« on: March 28, 2016, 09:48:43 AM »
Hi guys, I'm looking for a new pickup for my guitar. I'm looking for a pickup which is versatile as Tone Zone, but with lower output and little bit more treble. Tnx for answers. :)

What guitar do you have? Both of those pickups are pretty dark. The Air Norton can be pretty muddy in the wrong guitar.

I think KH is talking about the regular Norton. I second that opinion.
The AN can certainly be a mudfest in the wrong guitar.

Maybe I overlooked something but are you asking for a bridge or a neck pickup, or both?

Wait, sorry. I may have misread your post. My brain read AIR Norton and Breed neck, so I thought we were talking about neck pickups. On second glance, it looks like we are talking bridge pickups. It would still help to know what guitar we are talking about.

Between the two, I've always liked the way the Norton sounds in the bridge. The Breed neck has more crunch to it but there's something about the Norton that gives it a nice singing melodic tone when playing lead lines through a mid heavy amp.

I need bridge pickup and I'm talking about regular Norton, not Air Norton.

I'm going to be bit different then the rest and say Breed Neck in the bridge, it's tighter down low with crunchier mids and will have more treble then Tone Zone, some of it's waah in high mids and will be better for rhythm work then Norton.
