500k audio with the coils in series, add a 470k resistor to ground in split mode to approximate a 250k load.

Thanks for the reply. If I'm just going to run it in series or parallel, do you feel the 500k would be fine or would you still want to add the resistor to the circuit.
Speaking of which how exactly is the resistor in the circuit?
I would also use the resistor for the parallel mode.
If you use a push-pull pot you can solder the resistor across the two middle lugs. In series mode these two lugs are connected so the resistor is effectively not in the circuit. In parallel mode the resistor connects hot to ground thereby making the pickup "see" a pot load close to 240k.
