The FS-1 and the SDS-1 in a Maple Strat
« on: July 20, 2015, 04:45:14 PM »
I tried the FS-1 in the neck of my Rosewood Blackmore Strat and it sounded too boomy and the tone was too rounded. Sounded great in the bridge though.

I got rid of the Blackmore Strat and I'll be receiving a Maple Classic 70s Strat later in the week.

Was wondering how the FS-1 would sound in the neck of that and I'm thinking of putting an SDS-1 in the bridge.

Anyone?

As far as I know the FS-1 was designed for the bridge position where string movement is shallow. As a result the tone may too round in the neck position of any guitar.

Cheers Stephan
