Is this wiring even possible ?
« on: December 10, 2017, 09:06:47 PM »
Hello, I've decided to add a Fender humbucker to my neck set up along with my Dimarzio X2N bridge pickup. The problem is I don't know how to wire anything.

Set up is:

- 2 Humbuckers (same colored wires)
- 1 volume
- 1 Tone
- 3 Way Blade.

Does anyone know which wire goes where? Any help would be greatly appreciated..

- Sam

Should be possible.

Is there a certain arrangement you want on the switch?  Have you soldered something like this before?

Yes, there is a certain arrangement I would like, again I don't know if it's possible.. I would like the 1st position to be the bridge pickup, the middle position both pickup and the 3rd position the neck pickup. I have done this before a while ago but it was a completely different setup.

this is just what I found within a few minutes online.  you can always check around a little more yourself to be certain of what it is you'd like to to.

maybe start with this:  http://guitarelectronics.com/2-humbuckers-3-way-lever-switch-1-volume-1-tone/

you'll just need to know your color codes, which might be detailed for you here:  http://guitarelectronics.com/guitar-wiring-resources/humbucker-wire-color-codes/

of course, it's always best to check with the manufacturer for accurate wiring color codes.  if not on the respective website, give them a call or reach out to them via the options they provide for customer contact.
