Digging some web info to find what I want to change my air norton (neck) with. Like many I also look for something brighter, paf pro is mentioned a lot but I'm not hearing it in these sound samples;

Those clips don't remind me much of either pickup. The PAF Pro is brighter and has more bite than the Air Norton, but the bass end of the PAF Pro can also get a bit muddy in the wrong guitar. If I was shooting for brighter and great for blues and rock, I would choose the PAF Joe. It also depends on what guitar you are putting it in. The bluesbucker is another option.
