I understand it is a Gibson TYPE guitar....Make sure you are stringing the guitar the way Gibson says, it does make a difference once the strings stretch a bit. I'm not saying the nut is not a problem, but the stringing is the first thing that has to be right. Gibson says the first wind goes over the then wind up from the bottom. It definitely helps on a Gibson
