Hello guys!
I am building a project guitar. Ash body and neck from Jackson JTX. It is not finished yet. So for testing I put Evo2 in bridge and VVHeavy Blues 2 in neck positions. While I happy with the sound Heavy Blues 2, Evo 2 with this guitar sounds too fat and agressive.
Need bridge humbucker with less output, more dynamic, clear and brighter sound with some single coil bell attack.
I am thinking about PAF Pro, Fred, Mo Joe, Paf 36th, Air Classic or Paf Master. Which one will be better ballanced with Heavy Blues 2? Which one can you recommend? Please only DiMarzio :P
I play mostly neo-classical and prog metal. Love Malmsteen and EVH tone.

I would go for either the Fred or the Air Classic.

This is a sensible selection of pickups for that application. I have only played the PAF Pro and FRED. Probably I would go for the MoJoe in that case.
Cheers Stephan

Thanks. Long time ago I played guitar with MoJoe. But it was different instrument with different gear.

I found the MoJoe really boring compared to the Fred when I tried it, but that was in an RG, not a strat.

How bright? The Super2 or Humbucker From Hell might work if you want to really push things.

The same with me. I player MoJoe with RG1550. I found it very too bright and lifeless in this guitar.

A little less low or less low-mids than Evo2
