Title: Dimarzio for a neckthru guitar?

 Hi I'm Matteo I own a beautiful Carvin DC600 a neckthru guitar with ebony fingerboard, alder body with maple top. The guitar have a sweet sound without too much bass and treble very balanced,  I'm thinking to change the pickups with a pair of dimarzio but I dont want a high output pickups, I'm searching something near vintage raw sound for the bridge and creamy with sustain in the neck.
What do you suggest?
I'm thinking a pair of paf36th but I'm not sure

Welcome to the forum Matteo!

The 36th are a great choice. You can also look at the PAF Master set and the Air Classic set. All are different slants on classic PAF tones

Thanks Jazz!! What are the difference between PAf36th and Paf MAster?
My guitar doesn't have the bite of a strat becouse It is a neckthru but It has more mellow and natural attack of the note with warm sound....
I want to play rock and beyond , other people suggest me the Norton but I'm afraid to create a too boomy sound without attack and edge

Ive only tried the Masters briefly and haven't compared them to the 36th in the same guitar. Some people feel they are a tougher, slightly hotter and more aggressive version of the 36th.

The Norton is great allround pickup. Its got plenty of bite and attack, but its a bit hotter than a vintage pickup. I have the Norton bridge/36th neck in a basswood bolt-on Ibanez and its a nice combo. Well balanced and with great rock character but still versatile enough to pull off other things.
