It's a '90 Ibanez RG550 Basswood body & Maple fret board. Was thinking of Air Norton, The Breed, Norton but love to hear any others. Also not sure about the single coil to go. Have 3 other guitars that have #1: SD, Injecter(Not sure if it's the neck or bridge though) #2: SD2, EVO's #3: PAF Pro's & Virtual Vintage Blues 2. Prefer not to go with pickups that I already have. Like to try something different. Happy with all of them.
Though with the swingle coil not many other options that I can see cause I don't like super high end many of the others have. Really like the VV Blues 2 so probably go with another one of those if no other option.

My favorite match with the TZ is a PAF Pro but if you already have that then the Air Norton will work. Thats whats in Marco Sfogli's new signature Ibanez. But it depends on what you want out of it.
Fat, dark tone? Air Norton.
Bright, fluid and articulate? PAF Pro, Evo neck, D-Activator.
Full shred? Super 2.
Versatility? Transition.
Bright and spanky? Humbucker From Hell.

Yea looking for more on the fat side. Would like good harmonics out of it as well if possible.

I use a Paf Pro and Cruiser with my Tone Zone. The Paf Joe works pretty well with it too.

Go for the Air Norton then. It'll be a great match.

I had the Tone Zone/Air Norton combo in a very bright guitar once and thought that was a good combination. I later swapped the Tone Zone for a Breed bridge and while I liked that pickup better than the TZ individually I did not think it balanced that well with the Air Norton in the neck.
So I would second jazz's recommendation.
Cheers Stephan

Appreciate the help.
Any thoughts on the single coil?

If you don't like a bright singlecoil the HB2 is probably your best bet. That or a Virtual Solo.

I have a Tone Zone/HS2/Air Norton combo on one of my guitars, wired with a push pull coil split. Works great

I thought of the HS-2 but was worried it was too bright.
The Virtual solo would be ok in the middle? See its intended as a bridge.

I wouldn't call the HS-2 bright, unless you compare it to maybe a HS3
