Title: Is my humbucker a DiMarzio?
Post by: antix74 on February 20, 2016, 06:13:13 AM
I just bought a strat with a humbucker that was claimed to be a DiMarzio. It sounds quite good but I doubt its a DiMarzio because there is no stamp or sticker or anything on the underside. From what I can tell by google DiMarzio seem to mark all their pickups. True?

Normally, DiMarzio pickups have their name engraved on the base plate. If it does not have it it may not be a DiMarzio, unless of course the base plate was exchanged with a different one for some reason.

I have a Duncan that I had to modify this way because one of the mounting legs on the base plate was bent and broke off when I attempted to rebend it. Without a new base plate I would not have been able to mount it in the guitar. The new base plate does not have the Duncan logo on it.

Cheers Stephan
